Instructions For Authors

General Requirements

Prospective authors must submit a single-column digest manuscript in accordance with the provided template. The digest must be 3 to 5 pages in length (including references) and must not include author names or affiliations.

The digest should clearly present:

  • the objectives of the work
  • its significance and contribution to the state of the art
  • the methodology and key results, supported by equations, figures, tables, and references as appropriate.

Submissions that do not comply with these requirements will be rejected without review.

All digests will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and confidentiality.

Submission and Registration

One author must be designated as the corresponding author, and a valid e-mail address must be provided. All communication will be conducted via e-mail. Authors are responsible for ensuring that messages from the conference are not blocked by spam filters.

Each accepted paper must be associated with a full conference registration before submitting the final manuscript in order to be included in the technical program.

Final manuscripts must be 6 to 8 pages in length and will be screened for plagiarism using CrossCheck. Authors must complete the IEEE Copyright Transfer at the time of final submission.

Presentation Policy

The 2027 IEEE IAS Annual Meeting requires in-person presentation of all accepted papers. Only papers that are presented at the conference will be eligible for submission to IEEE Xplore.

Journal Publication Opportunities

Papers presented at the 2027 IEEE IAS Annual Meeting may be considered for publication in IEEE journals, subject to the policies of the individual journals regarding conference papers.

Additionally, all papers presented at the 2027 IEEE IAS Annual Meeting will be eligible for submission to IAS-sponsored journals adopting a presentation-first policy, including:

  • IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications
  • IEEE Industry Applications Magazine

Authors interested in these publication opportunities should request an invitation from the relevant IAS Technical Committee. All submitted manuscripts will undergo the standard peer-review process.

Additional information on IAS Technical Committees, including contact details, is available on the IEEE IAS website.
