The IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting 2024 will be held in Phoenix, AZ, from 20-24 October 2024. The IAS Annual Meeting has established a long tradition of providing a platform for practicing engineers, researchers, and technical experts to present and discuss current developments and future trends in applications of electrical technology to fields such as industrial and commercial power systems, electrical standards, data centers, process controls, robotics and automation, electrostatics, mining, metals, smart grid, smart cities, and smart manufacturing. In 2024 we are holding an Industry Track focused on developments that impact practicing engineers working in industry.

This call for Special Panel Sessions is for proposals for sessions that address developments that cut across multiple technical committees within the scope of IEEE IAS and for sessions within the scope of one of the following Technical Committees meeting at the Annual Meeting:

• Codes and Standards Committee
• Data Centre Subcommittee
• Electrostatic Processes Committee
• Energy Systems Committee
• Industrial Automation and Control Committee
• Industrial Lighting and Display Committee
• Metals Industry Committee
• Power Systems Engineering Committee
• Power Systems Protection Committee

Special Panel Sessions will be scheduled in 90 minute timeslots. Sessions are expected to have a moderator and multiple speakers addressing industry-wide topics. Panel members should not all have a single affiliation and the sessions should not be design to promote any particular product or service. The session will be listed in the conference program, but materials from the session will not be published in the conference record or on IEEE Xplore.
